However, as Dr. Gwyndolyn McClellan—Dr. G.—the founder of Guiding Stars For Business Success, I'm choosing to depart from this conventional path. My story, and indeed my leadership philosophy, is woven from threads of both professional mastery and profound personal growth.

I have been extraordinarily fortunate to experience life away from a sole professional career. This wasn't merely a break; it was an immersive journey, a sabbatical-like perspective that many aspire to from the traditional corporate grind that allowed me to see and experience life from a vastly different perspective. 

This invaluable opportunity fostered a holistic and total wisdom, enabling me to cultivate skills—cognitive, social, spiritual, psychological, and emotional—that I could never have attained by working exclusively within a professional career. These are the very skills that strengthen my ability to truly understand people, to discern their needs, and ultimately, to build the human-centric workplaces that are essential for enduring success. What truly distinguishes a successful president, CEO, or any leader in management? I firmly believe the key lies in understanding the complex tapestry of human needs and possessing the insight to effectively integrate those needs into an organizational structure that can maximize its operation. Being "on the outside"—away from the professional arena for a time—has, in my view, profoundly sharpened my abilities to succeed in leadership positions today.

Throughout my life, I have found immense satisfaction in being instrumental in helping people of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds, and religions succeed. I see myself as a dedicated change agent, empowering individuals to navigate the transformations they desire, whether personal or professional. This aptitude for guiding successful change extends to organizations as well; I excel at helping businesses implement the necessary shifts for sustained success.

I have always believed that God bestows upon each of us distinct gifts, intended to be used for the upliftment of others. For me, that undeniable talent is the "gift of helping people succeed," whether they are navigating the complexities of their business ventures or striving for greater fulfillment in their personal lives. The founding of Guiding Stars For Business Success came about because I felt a profound calling to use this specific gift to create a structure that maximized potential and minimized risk. Professionally, my journey has been rich and varied. I have managed organizations, built businesses as an entrepreneur, served as a teacher and professor, and collaborated with a host of people in diverse organizational settings, including volunteers, board members, and national and state representatives. My management skills have consistently enabled me to build positive organizational cultures where staff are truly team members. I'm proud of my track record of bringing organizations that were failing to meet federal government standards into full compliance within short periods, and transforming students’ academic failures into academic successes.

Beyond my core management skills, I have a rich history of collaborating effectively with boards, volunteers, educational and medical institutions, government entities, and both for-profit and non-profit sectors. My inherent entrepreneurial spirit allows me to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, fostering flexibility and teamwork that are crucial for today’s dynamic business environment. I even ran twice for the United States Senate of Florida, an experience that broadened my understanding of diverse communities and complex policy challenges.

Academically, I hold a Ph.D. in Education Administration from the University of Kansas, a Ph.D. in Theology—achieved through an online Bible school (I was offered scholarships to Ivy League seminaries but chose a different path)—a Master’s degree in Information Technology, and B.A. and M.A. degrees in Speech Pathology. My coursework also includes finance, construction, and architecture, and I am currently attaining a B.A. degree in graphics design. While these degrees reflect a breadth of knowledge, I believe they are secondary to the invaluable life experiences I have attained.

As a self-taught enthusiast in interior decorating, product design, advertising, and even writing and producing music, I am exceptionally creative and innovative, possessing a unique ability to capitalize on diverse needs and opportunities. I have developed so many different skills by simply teaching myself, driven by curiosity and a desire to create.

I am exceptionally discerning about the companies and people I endorse and welcome into my network, choosing those that perfectly reflect my deeply held belief in the transformative power of a truly collaborative and supportive cultural environment for staff.
